It's nice because these two different mages play differently enough that both are fun in their own way, I only use the arcanist mage these days but the reglia mage with the fire/frost abilities was fun too.Īlso, every build should use Time Warp - so you will never go wrong maxing that one out. I use arcane bolts and lightening as the two attacks. So with arcanist most people, myself included, use blink, time warp and singularity as the 3 abilities. The arcanist set gives 100% dmg boost to arcane bolts, so it is always used with this as one of the attacks and gives an additional very helpful boost when using blink, time warp, paradox or singularity as the abilities. So if you want to build a mage that uses fire/frost as a main attack (most use frost) and the frost/fire abilities (most use immolate and blizzard) you are gonna use reglia. I had to throw like 7 potions at him to get him back to stability.Very simply the reglia set gives boosts to fire and frost spells, including reduced cooldown and increased damage. It had a blindness trap and multiple fireball traps, so he followed me into the crown room, and then proceeded to stagger from trap to trap for like 20 turns til I got desperate and teleported him, hoping to catch up with him. Rusty then went on to clear the Darkforge and kill Kherab by himself, but was almost killed by the crown of science room. After blasting me with a spell for 70 damage he got annihilated in a flurry of 7 attacks by rusty. In a shockingly short span of time he forgot about me, and was hostile when I got back. Anyways, I got annoyed and just went to clear a few rooms and go grab him after. I also had teleportitis(controlled) and this was somehow resetting his AI. For some reason, Rusty had no problems following me, but Kiri kept getting confused.
But on level 7 I pool sipped and got permanent invisibility. They both proceeded to chew through the SMC and UD with no problems. I went to the small cave and got a Kiri-run and a Giant Rust Monster. I'd been putting off using slaves for a while because I didn't feel like starting with that hassle til I found good corpses, but I got my hands on 2 scrolls of familiar summoning. I'll start with something I just had happen in a game with a level 19 necro. Post your best follower moments and worst follower moments.
